Sage advice. If there's a hitter on another team you have trouble getting out, you should pitch around around him unless you have to.(e.g.- bases loaded and no place to put him) Later

I'd argue the opposite: pitch TO someone unless forced to do otherwise. Avoid someone if the situation calls for it but preemptively granting anyone a 1.000 OBA and then trying to figure out a way to get him out with the sacks full and you can't walk him is a formula for losing baseball.

Five out of the last six since the whole west-coast-teams debacle was nice but at the same time was virtually necessary and it remains necessary that we keep up something resembling that pace over this eight game WAS (5) / MIA (3) road swing. Winning 'only' five here probably isn't good enough, especially as it's followed by a NYY - StL - PHI - BOS (2) - MIL 14-game stretch.

Dom is on the Bereavement List which lasts for a minimum of 3 days and it appears that the Mets cannot replace him. Oakland put Frankie Montas on the Restricted List under the "unusual circumstances" provision for 3 days as there is a visa reason why he cannot travel with the team to TOR. He is between starts anyway so OAK uses the rule to get an extra player that they otherwise wouldn't have.
