The Orioles' current 19-game losing skid moved Joe Posnanski to recall the same-sized stumble by the Royals he covered 16 years ago. Eight names jumped out at me as Mets of the former (1), then-present (1) or future variety (6). Five among the 2005 Royals who piled up those Ls in this story were fellas who'd pass through orange and blue by 2009.
