Going back to Boston.

He was good for 4 or 5 innings, 2 ER. Seemed like a good guy.

Re: Memories of Rich Hill

If the the loathsome thing with the extra hitter comes to pass, Rich Hill will have been the final regularly scheduled pitcher to hit in a Mets uniform at Citi Field. Laid down a sacrifice bunt to facilitate his first Met win.

He was pitching help prior to the deadline. The Mets could have used more, but he didn't shortchange his new soon to be old club.

I liked that the ribbonboard occasionally identified his last pitch was 69 MPH UNKNOWN.

I had already forgotten about him!

My one trip to Citi Field this year was his Mets debut, a no-decision in a win against the Blue Jays.

Schaefer Mets Pitcher of the Month in September 2021. Nobody can ever take that away from him!

Yeah, enjoyed his eephus pitches he'd lob up there. He was what we thought he was.

Definitely a guy that in five years I'm going to be like "he was a Met?"

Filled out Duda's number nicely. I hope he rejoins the team in five years or so.

4-5 innings 1-3 runs. He did what he what he was paid to do and I expect he will continue to do so. I wish they kept him abordick.

Not the Hill I would have chosen to die on.

Re: Memories of Rich Hill

I love the tidbit in today's FAFIF: Hill has now signed as a free agent with the Red Sox *seven* separate times.
