I'm still trying to figure out (as mentioned above) what exactly was wrong with Diaz. It's not exactly like Chavez hadn't gotten chances to play.

Well, he is a lefty bat and he has been giving a faint illusion of hitting lately.
But Id rather see Diaz in there today myself.
Hell with that righty/lefty crap.

Braves score first with 3 hits in a row off Trax.

Especially considering that Victor may be headed back to Norfolk when Maine gets activated to take Bannister's spot in the rotation. Strange.

Rough inning for Davies. The two outs so far were Trachsel and a shot by Matsui.

fuckshit. why is the infield in in the 3rd inning?? not matsui's fault that the coaching staff positioned him poorly.

Nymr83

Davies drills one to Chavez i thought they'd score 2 for sure...

it might be time to have Oliver/Julio up in the pen, i know its early but Traschel just doesnt have it today and i'd have him on a very short leash the rest of the way.

They are gonna try to squeeze Tachsel for 6, Id be pretty sure.
This has become far from a must win game for the Mets.

Willie will rest the pen here as long as he possibly can.

Then he gets jammed for an IF fly by a Steve Trachsel fastball.

Trachsel makes way for Oliver after loading the bases on walks, which kill as errors also do.

Nymr83

Traschel walks LaRoche thanks to a postage-stamp strike zone that doesnt seem to be there when Davies is pitching...

pitching change with the bases loaded. i hate bringing guys into bases loaded situations, either bring them in with 2 men on or let the starter finish what he started for better or worse.

That Betemits a big dude for a shortstop.

Beltran with a nice snag of that fly.

Keith thinks the ump has been squeezing both pitchers.
