I haven't read all the stuff here, one reason for this area is to remove it

Yes. We have truimphed, fellow admins. We have taken the power back from Sal! Goodness wins. Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

KC, this frankly looks like a game of chicken. "Let's see how long Sal will stick around once we start moving his posts to the Red Light Forum."

You presume too much, Rotblatt. I don't expect anyone to have to leave.

I know, KC. That's why I said it wasn't your intent. But in my presumptious opinion, that's where this is headed unless you all try to work something out between yourselves, which emphatically does not seem to be happening.

What, I'm supposed to be constructive and not just critical? Uh, I really don't know. I just feel strongly that sweeping the problem under the rug won't help. If you guys know each other (which I think you do), maybe meet in person and talk it out? Call each other? Private email? Hell, hash it out here if you don't mind it being done publicly. From a relatively outsiderish perspective, I think that the three of you all care deeply about this forum and want it to be a place for reasoned, intelligent, Mets-related discourse. I also think you all honestly feel that there should be plenty of room for dissent. Now, you all might not see it that way, but maybe trying to find out what you DO agree on then going from there would be a good starting point.

I think part of the problem is that discussing things has not had the desired effect and inevitably devolves into "you're a poopyhead" "no, YOU'RE a poopyhead." There is a popular sentiment that the baseball forum has become too poisoned with arguments among certain members. Since these differences cannot be solved the next best thing is to get the arguments out of the baseball forum so those not involved may discuss the Mets uninterrupted. I do agree with Rotblatt that we should try our hardest to work out our differences. If these discussions/arguments/pissing matches are too take place on line though they should take place in the Red Light Forum. And if they end up occuring in the baseball forum they are moved here.

Ah, yes, Jimmy Carter principle. Find out what we do agree on.

Just as long as no one's giving you grief over your spirited defense of Piazza's offensive supremacy in 2004. If that happens, that person becomes a non-person. I'm playing the world's smallest violin to accompany your sad, sad song.
