The dude survived and has given the police statements. Apparently, some maniacal engineers have designed a cab that can protect a tanker driver if the tank he's hauling explodes. Extra scary is that burning fuel washed into the storm drains, so the firefighters and DPW were running around for blocks trying to extinguish an underground fire before structures and cars started catching fire a half mile away. They somehow kept that from happening — the Port Authority dispatched units from Kennedy to assist Rockville Centre's volunteer force — but most accounts from the Rock report that the water in their toilets is gross.

Waste water reports show that COVID levels are dropping but petroleum is off the charts!
