Always nice to see the Hunter back, even though it's usually for a sad reason.

Short had a long career but not a lot of it in the bigs. He had 73 appearances over 10 years, and nearly half of those were with the 1968 Mets, but he's an International League Hall-of-Famer.

The first Met to face at least 100 batters in a season and not give up a home run.

Prior to his death, Bill Short was the 26th oldest living Met. With his passing, Tommy Davis moves into the Top Forty.
