Memories of Brandon Drury

The Friggin Reds think they're the Cubs all of a sudden, signing 2021 Mets hand over fist. The latest is Brandon Drury, who I think (and I may be confused here) was impossible to get out for, like, two weeks last season.

Re: Memories of Brandon Drury

A versatile contributor who in 2021 became the 80th and most recent Met to play third base and the outfield (though not at exactly the same time). Drury's final action as a Met came on August 31 in the unfinished game of April 11, despite his first action as a Met occurring on May 21.

I saw him deliver a big hit to beat the Reds. I didn't notice the Reds huddle immediately after and determine they must get his secret, but apparently that's what happened.

Inspiring comments about Jury Duty, Ian Dury, Allen Drury, Soviet Jewery, and Jerry and the Pacemakers, he was a very versatile pun subject. Five-tooler all the way.

Whenever he was up, I kept rooting for him to hit it with his rhythm stick. Which he did, quite a bit more often than I expected him to.
