Sunday Morning In A Run Down (MLB on Peacock)

How do you feel about 11:30 AM baseball? Get ready because Peacock, the worst streaming platform, will have an exclusive Sunday game at either 11:30 or Noon (ET) each week starting in May. This is why MLB has moved all ET Sunday afternoon games to 1:40 (to extend Peacock's exclusivity window). The Mets are only scheduled for one, on June 26 at MIA.

I love it. When I lived in California, the early morning east coast games were fantastic

I know everyone hates these exclusive streaming games but it's a good way to educate/inform the non-Met world about the Mets. These games are available anywhere, so like Asia and the UK.

My understanding is the apple games are free--for now at least. I don't have peacock and prolly wouldn't get it but it's only a few games and early morning ain't bad

The starting times bother me less than the streaming service exclusivity thing. And, yeah, I know it's MLB dipping their toes in the stream (pun intended) so as to not be caught unaware as cable subscriptions continue to plummet, but that doesn't mean I have to like the way they're implementing it.

I now think we somehow get Apple+ via Prime and I think we get Peacock on our

Verizon streaming ad-on but it's all just one big dumb pain in the ass to me.

I'm fine with people mocking me as 'old man shouting at clouds...'

Between these exclusive games on Peacock on Apple+ we have fewer games on mlb.tv so I'm sure that they will give us a small rebate. #sarcasm

Is MLB.TV on streaming services like Prime billed monthly? I haven't renewed Extra

Innings yet on Verizon because I don't think it's fair they charge for the whole season

up front. More importantly, I'm not sure we're keeping Verizon through September and

I don't want to get into a thing with them looking to get a refund down the road.

You pay for MLB.TV up front for the whole season.

Interesting, I looked at the screens on the Amazon set after posting it says

$24.95/month. Not seeing as the whole cutting-the-cord craze is saving anyone

anything when you add up all the individual slices of pie you buy a la carte.

I get MLB.tv through my little Amazon box thingy. It's free all year if you have a T-Mobile account.

Sorta-watching Cubs-Brewers as I write this. The Suzuki guy just had his first MLB plate appearance, worked a walk off Burnes.

We have a Firestick on one TV, I kinda thought it might be free but I have

to mess with it some more tomorrow.

I used to be a whizz at all this stuff, now I'm just jizz...

So I'm set for now baseball season wise on the non-SNY front. Apple+ is free

on Prime (for now) so I just had to get the app and sign on with my iTunes ID.

Got a free trial of MLB.TV on Prime also for a week and then it will bill monthly.

I'm sure we get free Peacock on something, but I've done enough tinkering for

one morning just to watch freaking television.

It's weird, I had to use the TV with the Firestick. Downloaded the app and then

signed in with my iTunes account. I have no other Apple stuff so glad that worked.

I looked on 'my' TV in the backroom where I can access Prime on another streaming

service and the Apple+ app doesn't show up so I guess I have to watch on the FireTV.

We'll see, maybe things take awhile to update.
