If anyone can follow in the spirit of Tylor's scoreless inning streak it would be Mad Max. Rookie Bryson Stott is seeing Max for the first time, good luck kid. You may be saying "eff this place" yourself. Nola is very good but our guy is better. LGM!

There are levels to which I don't get what's going on by the shift. I don't think Gregorius double-clutched because Segura was behind him, but ... what's Segura doing there anyway? It's not his cutoff, and there's a trailing runner on the bases, but he's not covering second and he's covering third.

Canha leavin' 'em loaded certainly supports that notion. Probably not so much last season, but it seemed like for a few years before that, just getting into the Phillies bullpen felt like a red carpet being rolled out.

Key to the whole inning was Lindor hitting the grounder too slowly for the inning-ending GiDP. We already had two of those today but the inning lived allowing four runs to be tacked on.

Because it took him a million pitches just to get through five and if pushed to go seven in April his arm would fall off right there on the mound which would make him considerably less effective over the course of the remainder of the season.

I know what went wrong with the text on the screen. Frequently a diacritical mark (such as the accent over the i in Domínguez) doesn't get recognized when transferred from one application to another, and an A gets substituted. Hire me, SNY.

Bartman I don't think reached over the imaginary line between the fans and the field and if he did it wasnt by much - Bartman's crime was aiding the opposition - Just as Brady Anderson almost certainly catches the Maier ball, Alou catches the Bartman ball if Bartman just puts his hands down the only difference between them is that Bartman aided the road team where as Maier aided the home team he was rooting for. If Bartman had been a Marlins fan visiting Chicago he could have been the most celebrated man in Florida history and maybe even had a lawsuit against the Cubs after they booted him.

Many people state as a matter of fact that Bartman reached onto the field of play. Beyond that, (a) Alou made a heck of an effort but I don't think the evidence suggests he was reeling that one in*, and probably not even touching it, and (b) that was 2021 Mets first base coach Tony Tarasco underneath that Derek Jeter warning track fly ball. * Moisés agreed back in 2008.
