Carrasco was invented by Tom Carvel not to be confused with Tom Seaver. I would advise that he stay away from soft serve offerings. LGM

Carrasco gets into a 2nd & 3rd with no outs trouble. Then pitches out of with a pair of Ks and a fly out for the final out. Solid pitching.

I have to say, I ❤️ the way Showalter climbs the steps and glowers at the whole field when a Met gets hit by a pitch. He squints through his sunglasses and pans around the infield thinking, "I know one of you kids threw that, and I'm gonna find out who."

The coddling of pitchers (particularly starters) is frustrating. Unfortunately, it is the way the game has evolved. Long gone are the days of pitchers going as long as their "stuff" allowed. The sad part, is that for all the pitch (inning) counting and heavy reliance on a squadron of relievers doesn't seem to have prevented injuries either.

Poop happens. Go get 'em tomorrow, Mets. This wasn't a case of poor situational hitting, it was a case of no hitting at all. Mama said there'd be days like this. But, break's over; they better pound them tomorrow because the Giants are going to be a tough test for this team. Buck could have pitched Megill tomorrow on regular rest due to the off day, but he's choosing to start him against Frisco. Peterson has a chance to make a name for himself here if he wants it.
