I get it but I was positive that they would sign another FA SP and they didn't. Given Max's age and Jake's injury from last season (I'm looking at it from a March perspective), another SP would have been precautionary but they could have used one today.

Keith sez he'd have no choice of hat if he were to be inducted into the HOF. But I thought a player has a say when there are more than one acceptable or plausible choices. I mean, Rickey Henderson wouldnt have got the opportunity to go in with a Mets cap but given Keith's career, he might get to choose from between the Mets and Cards, or at least weigh in.

Yeah, the Mets have a real small field so far in the competition for the 2022 Dwight Gooden Award. 1. Patrick Mazeika, 0.3 fWAR T2. Colin Holderman, 0.1 fWAR T2. Stephen Nogosek, 0.1 fWAR We're not projecting any of them are about to jump into the Jackie Robinson RoY race. I think San Diego starter MacKenzie Gore is leading there.
