I remember, when expanded (not just HRs) replay reviews started, someone worried about the totally unpredictable and arbitrary nature of trying to figure out where the runners would have been if the incorrect call had been initially called correctly. Oh wait, that someone was me. No, I was told, it'll be easy to figure it out. And that they just ruled that a ball not caught off the wall at the furthest spot of the ballpark was a single.

Lest it go unsaid, that M&M Deck (or whatever it's called) fence extending right up from the top of the wall is bad for play action and kind of dangerous. Also, lest it go unsaid, this inning is huge, getting off to a killer start against the team most in position to break the Mets' season, and sending a message to those two streaking teams behind them.

J.D. Davis's single last night was the game's hardest hit ball -- harder hit than even Lindor or Alonso's HR's. This, on the heels of an article in The Athletic to the effect that Davis has been hitting the baseball extremely hard all season long, about as hard as practically anybody in all of baseball, and that the Mets remain very confident in Davis despite his slow statistical start, which the Mets are attributing to random bad luck.
