This one starts at 4:05 PM. Chris Bassitt took the loss against MIA on June 19 giving up 3 ER in 6 1/3 IP. Trevor Rogers took the loss against the Mets on June 20 giving up 3 ER in 5 innings.

As far as Squirrel goes, we didn't need him to pinch-hit yesterday, so maybe that's his role for now, to bat once late in a game, but to sit another day if there's no need for him. It's not as though the Mets don't have other 2B men or LFers who can take the wear and tear that maybe he can't right now.

What are they doing at SNY? There was a close call on Nimmo's foul ball down the 1B line, GKR talk about the 1B umps' "rough night" but we don't see a replay of the foul ball to see if the call was correct.

I really feel strongly that Nimmo is on the cusp of a stellar career. I like everything about the guy, his on-base ability, his power, his defense, his arm, his smarts, his consistency, his hustle...I can't think of any quality he has that doesn't fill me with admiration.

Well, yes. But this is the first time he's played uninjured (kinnehora), played a single position, played every day, batted in one slot, and been the indispensable sparkplug to the Mets offense. Up until now, I've felt he was a role player who hadn't yet shown what he was capable of.

I get that. It does seem like he has turned a corner this year where pretty much everything he does results in positive outcomes.

And he has cemented himself as one of the best leadoff hitters in the came. Brandon is a big part of why we have two guys in the league's top 5 RBI leaders.

I had fuck-all of a time finding the channel this game was on. And came up stupidly empty.

Ended up on XM with Howie & Wayne and it worked out. Good win for the good guys
