The Tuesday Night Mets Club's relentless pursuit to support an Amazin' year of Tuesday Nights from all angles assembles this evening in section 138 (field level, center field) to take in tonight's tilt featuring lefty Framber Valdez opposing Carlos "my back is fine, it was just a thing, but thanks for asking" Carrasco. LGM, YGB etc

Highest percentage of hard-hit balls isn't really a stat that does it for me when the denominator is "balls in play" rather than "plate appearances" or "at-bats."

Buck puts the DH in the lineup and Adonis Medina is now our cleanup hitter, due to lead off in the ninth. I was hoping Alonso would make his first appearance at third. Consolation prize is a rare Escobar appearance at second.

Crowd was big, everyone was excited over the testimony (seemed like), demanding revenge from a shit showing last week, then-- can't turn the DP, Alonso seemed to dive over--a ball he should have got, and boom. Crowd out of it. Ambler... the Ambler was supposed to stop by but didn't. Shreve couhed ot up big time, McCann sucked the big one, now I'm sitting on a delayed 7 local with a bunch of Boomhauers

Crowd out of it. It's a real "For want of a hammer" game. If Alonso wasn't holding the runner, that's a routine ground ball. If McNeil turned that double play, there's no runner. If Guillorme was at second, that double play is turned. The next time a double-play grounder came to a similar spot, McNeil was covering second, but had to step out of the way when Lindor took it himself. I was afraid they might run down the tunnel to go raccoon chasing again.
