Mets played a day game, with no extraordinary travel required to get to Cincinnati. Reds in the middle of a homestand…and this 4th of July game starts at 6:40 PM.

You never know what you're going to get with Hunter Greene. He could easily whiff 15 and throw a 2 hitter; or give up 7 runs in 2 1/3.

I certainly didn't think he wasn't going to contribute. Shortening Greene's workday could go a long way toward helping the Mets sweep.

The first time Nimmo came up empty, but it was a terrific at bat. Greene found triple digits but couldn't get it past Brandon.

In fairness, Reds are doing a fireworks night after the game…so a 6:40 start time is pretty good actually.

The dropped tag by India is part of the argument to come in feet first. It wasn't particularly hard contact on the slide, but if a guy has a poor grip on the ball, then feet are better at knocking it free than hands.

He not only was getting hit hard, but was pitching to India like he was afraid to come near the plate, but damned if he didn't fool at least one guy pulling the string on strike three.

It'd be nice to tack some on. I think Lugie-Doo is our only option for closer tonight, with Holdielocks getting the eighth.

First 4 batters against Smith each hit a rocket. Fortunately, 2 of them were right at fielders. Strikes out the 5th batter and luckily escapes giving up only one run.

I don't always IGT, but I do generally tune in on Mondays. Enjoyed innings 1-3 while mowing my lawn (minus Howie unfortunately) and the rest on the tube after that.
