Mets seem to go for homers instead of table setters these days, although it ain't really working out so much.

Also, Nido may be the weakest hitter on the team, but he's hit the ball hard all night.

I think I go for Canha, who can get a walk as well as a bomb, and Inciarte can run for him if he gets on.

Nah, "All-Star" Pete took a big cut at the first pitch instead of making a POS pitcher work. This after "All-Star" Lindor also swung at the first pitch. Maybe Strickland was shaken after giving up the double but we'll never know. What is Chilli Davis doing these days?

That swinging at the first pitch is possibly in part a product of the ump's super strike zone.

I have seen enough. Maybe I will pleasantly surprised by a Mets comeback when I get up tomorrow, but I doubt it.

Lol

I missed 100% of this game as I drove Fboy to Rochester to take in a night of AEW All Elite Wrestling live at the BCBS Arena. I had checked in periodically and my last view was them down 3-1. So I was surprised when we left the venue that they came back to win big.

It took me a while to realize I was looking at the strikezone from umpie's point of view.

I like that they try to glean their best interpretation of the umpire's zone.

Fun fact: Paul Clemons was given the home plate assignment only after a late scratch moved Angel Hernandez from behind the dish to second base.

I saw Hernandez working 1B on Tuesday night and figured we were in for an HP assignment from him the next day.

I quickly realized it wasn't him behind the mask but didn't see he was at 2nd and couldn't surmise what had changed or why. As a crew chief you figure that others would change for him rather than the other way around.
