Props to whoever adjusted the font size to fit Higashioka's name in the box without a hair's worth of space to spare. That looks like a not-so-impressive Yankee lineup until I remember that Matt Carpenter has turned into Harmon Killebrew since joining the team. I wonder if Josh Donaldson has any clever opinions he'd like to share.

Yan have had 92 of their 97 games this season started by their main five starters: Gerritt Cole = 20; Jordan Montgomery = 19; Jameson Taillon (19); Nestor Cortes (18); Luis Severino (16). On the offensive side, only Josh Donaldson has missed as many 10 games (11 - and that was part injury/part suspension). But Severino is on the IL, and now so is Stanton, plus their bullpen has taken some hits.

Listening while I'm getting steps on the trail near my house. When Wayne was describing the ball going deeper and deeper I hunched over, then heard the catch and let out a cheer - not realizing there was a woman and her dog about 10 feet behind me. So both of us got a scare, for different reasons. Probably the dog, too. Both gave me a look as they passed.

Well, working from the assumption that things proceed the same, the non-balk call ends up costing the Mets a run. Interesting decisions here. If Guillorme comes in for defense now, the Mets lose the DH. And, assuming he comes in anyhow, does he go to second and McNeil to left, or do you send in Jankowski in left, and burn all but Mazeika?

There's a certain degree of "I've forgotten more than you could ever know" arrogance to it, and it leads to blander news stories. Doesn't serve me well at all.
