I don't know how much you guys get on the SNY feed, or whatever you get in the NYC area these days, but loandepot park is sponsored in part by a local health organization known as "LEON" which has a large "C" shape logo (?) out in front, so I keep getting bombarded by these signs that seem to spell out CLEON. I like being reminded of one of my favorite Mets a few dozen times per game.

He's swung at 139 and took 217 (Nimmo swung at 139, took 264 35% ish?) Nimmo is actually 40th on the Statcast Swing/Take leaderboard (i.e. does he make good swing/take decisions), behind Marte at 25 and Alonso at 13. You won't be surprised to learn much of Nimmo's swing/take value comes in the 'Chase' zone, specifically 'taking' in the chase zone. (The chase zone being pitches out of the strike zone, but still near it) Nimmo jumps up to 34th when we're just looking at the 'Take' leaderboard. He's still behind Alonso, and Lindor is 16th. He's one spot ahead of Judge here. Judge is second on the swing leaderboard, exclusively in the heart of the plate. If you throw a pitch there, he crushes it. This is why good pitchers like Scherzer have his number. If you can hit the black consistently, you got him.

I had a good excuse to not IGT, I was once again at our local ballpark to soak up some AAA Mets action (they lost, 6-3).

Mark Vientos is an impressive hitter, at least at this level. He hits to all fields and consistently, and with power. He seems pretty confident up there. Francisco Alvarez, until this past week, has mostly looked overmatched at AAA ball. He hit a nice double yesterday that is a good sign There aren't any pitching prospects I've noticed for better or worse. We have seen a decent amount of the guys that bounce back and forth, like Yoan Lopez and pre-trade Holderman.
