I think it should be retired and Beltran added to the Mets Hall of Fame. Would add some diversity to our retired numbers, too.



When I was in the Hall last month, I saw one of the Mets plaques was covered. Has the team announced who is it is adding to the team hall this year?

Missing Nats: - Bryce Harper (last played in 2018) - Rendon (2019) - Kurt Suzuki (2020) - Scherzer (2021) - Trea Turner (2021) - Juan Soto (2022) - Josh Bell (2022) plus a host of others, but the named ones above constitute a heckuva brawn drain in a short time. And the one holdover from the WS team they bet on, Strasburg, has barely pitched in three seasons now.

So, walking Alonso with no lefties in the pen turns out to be just as questionable as it seemed when they did it. Also REALLY validates what the team was thinking when they went and got him.

Givens sucks. DFA I'm half joking but in a tight pennant race another outing like this one lands him in Syracuse. The offense is very very good except every fifth day Jake pitches.
