It's a matchup of left-handers as the Mets go the doubleheader sweep against the Phillies (7:10 PM, FOX, with Don Orsillo and Tom Verducci). David Peterson hasn't started against PHI this year but did pitch two shutout innings in relief last weekend. Bailey Falter has pitched against the Mets which surprised me even though once was last weekend! Pete has hit a HR off Falter.

How about that pre-game show? Yankees, Braves... oh yeah, the Mets, too. F F*x and the Mets post-season games will be on F*x, too.

PRB person Orsillo said that Buck had the same lineup as G1 other than at catcher... except that Canha is starting in LF while Naquin started in G1.

So if the Phils are challenging BOTH the calls at 2nd and at 1st, shouldn't the non-reversal at 2nd be their one challenge therefore negating their challenge at 1st?

I don't think Canha half-assed so much as he got a bounce he wasn't expecting. But, yeah, it should have been a one or two base error.

Agreed about the unexpected bounce but if he was behind the ball instead of reaching for it the bounce wouldn't have mattered.

I left after one inning to do family stuff. I honestly thought the Mets would have chased this guy by the third.

Part of me wants to blame youse all for not bringing this one home, but a bigger part of me knows I blew it by bailing.
