7:10 EDT Rookie RH Ryan Feltner [12 G, 11 Starts, 5.88 ERA, 1.39 WHIP] vs Jacob deGrom So what have the Rox been up to since we took two of three at their place back in mid-May? Losing mostly. In last place in the NL West and on pace for a 70-win season.

A Taijuan Walker slider and 99 on the gun so far. He can work with that.

Remember when many of us were told, when we were learning baseball back in the day, how a 2/1 K/BB ratio was good for a pitcher? Now it's a small sample size and times have changed things a bit, but deGrom is currently carrying a 39/1 ratio for this truncated season. 39 to ONE !!

That might have been the worst 3-0 semi-pitch-around pitch Ever. Missed his spot by maybe a foot or more.

He really seems to be grinding out a solid start here with less than his best start. He's certainly shown he can do that, but it's just been such a rarity that he's had to in recent years. I hope there's no discomfort. Otherwise, this may be a real positive. He sure seems unhappy, though.

Yeah, he's Vogelhurt on top of being Vogelslow. I definitely lift him if he gets on mid-game (like he just did). You have two starting quality bats on your bench and no pitcher to pinch-hit for, so why not?

Yeah, we're a terrible pitch to Alonso from being in a 1-1 tie and, as in the MFY games, are leaving small villages stranded.

Yeah, he might have come up a bit early. Vientos is a better DH than a fielder, though.

I was envisioning a Vogelbach hard single to RF ... and then getting thrown out at 1st. Well it didn't happen but the net result is the same.

When I saw Diaz coming in for the 8th it felt like a panic driven move from the lack of faith in our bullpen - unlike against Atlanta where it felt worth it. That he did NOT return for the 9th restored my faith in Buck - he was using Diaz to get the heart of the order, to hell with what inning it was
