The Innernet seems to be suggesting the Pirates have announced a starting lineup but not a starting pitcher. I'm penciling Oveido in there because that's who they were supposed to be going with and the dogs need to be walked. And for all of the "not vintage deGrom" talk: 4 innings, 0 runs, 2 hits (one soft, one kinda soft), 5 K, 0 BB w/a low pitch count (49 - more than 20% of which were to one batter). There's the tendency to not just hope for but epect near perfection. But not perfect is still real darn good. oe: one K and his first BB while I was typing

It was a rough outing from a Pirate fan perspective. If Oneil Cruz had been lifted after failing to run out his grounder, it might have been half worth it, but Pirates manager Derek Shelton seemed to be phoning it in as much as anybody.
