I dig a 2:10 Wednesday start as I work from home Wednesdays and normally take a 1-2 PM lunch break siesta. So I shall wake up and work and watch baseball. Also that way I do not have a conflict with watching AEW Dynamite pro wrestling with Fboy on Wednesday nights as it's on live from 8-10 PM.

Marte tested his finger on September 19, and reportedly, it was still hurting enough to compromise his effectiveness. He expresses opty-mism that he'll be ready for the Braves series. In the old days, up until this year, they could just let him float as an active member of the roster, occasionally getting pinch-running or defensive opportunities.

And it seems that lately, the Mets are getting beat by guys we never heard of, weren't expecting to be tough, or were batting under .250.

I'm guessing that, with all their stars and studs, the Brave who will be a guy like that is Robbie Grossman.

Marte isn't ready to return but it might be time to end the Vientos trial run. I don't who else to call up but Vientos isn't ready. Hopefully, Marte will be ready a week from Friday.

All 3 Oakland starters are lefties this weekend, ruling out Dom Smith. I don't think there is anyone else on the 40 man roster who hits right handed. Ronny Mauricio is a switch hitter but better hitting lefty. I think you start Ruf and hope for the best? Agree that Vientos looks overmatched/not ready.j

Culp was 41-41 against everyone else in he NL, but 10-2 against the Mets. His lifetime NL ERA was 3.68 but 2.59 against the Mets. He was the first example I thought of. I was in the Army with a virulent Phillies fan, and he tormented me about how the Mets couldn't beat Culp and Larry Jackson. I you're taking about mental health, I'm crazy about the Mets. Later
