A 4:07 start in Oakland. Hopefully, the Mets aren't psyched out by the sun after yesterday's fiasco. Max Scherzer takes the mound for the Mets. He's awesome, as you know. Originally, I thought all the Athletics had the names of politicians, but now that I've seen Brown batting after Murphy a few days in a row, I realize that they're all named after sitcoms.

I have to say that watching the outfielders fight the afternoon sun in Oakland the last few days really gives me a 1973 series vibe.

With two out in the 9th, Schwarber walks and is pulled for a pinch runner. If there were no outs, sure. But 2 outs and taking his bat out for extras is curious.

They played 7 games and ATL won 5 which either means that ATL didn't wilt against a good opponent or PHI is not a good team and ATL took advantage.

Yeah it was the earlier series, the one in Atlanta last week, which was the bigger disappointment.
