Some interesting data regarding 2022 performance against playoff teams:

The Mets (and Phillies) led the majors in games played against teams in the 2022 postseason, with 69.

2022 Records against postseason teams:

Houston: 37-18, .673

Los Angeles: 29-19, .604

Seattle: 32-27, .542

New York: 37-32, .536

Atlanta: 33-31, .516

Yankees: 33-31, .516

Tampa: 29-31, .483

St. Louis: 22-24, .478

Cleveland: 19-21, .475

Toronto: 30-36, .455

Philadelphia: 29-40, .420

San Diego: 20-33, .378

(Yes, San Diego went 5-14 against the Dodgers. Excluding those games only brings them up to .441).

Re: 2022 - Records against Postseason Teams

I saw on Reddit that the 2022 Mets are the first 100-win team to have played at least 30 games against other 100-win teams during the regular season. Had the Yankees won today, they would have played 34. The 2022 Braves are second on the all-time list at 28. Obviously, multiple 100-winners in a division are going to make it higher on the list (2018 NYY/BOS, 1954 NYY/CLE, 1942 STL/BRK, etc.). Pretty cool.

None of the 1969, 1986 or 1988 NYM teams played even one regular season game against another 100-game winner.

I get it. The division race is over and I should move on. But how shitty is it that we played 5 more games against playoff teams than the Braves. That includes 4 with the Yankees. Stupid schedule.
