I don't think the Mets' prospects are sow's ears, or why there is any reason to think of them as such, or why there is suddenly any reason to think that their scouts cannot tell silk from pig's flesh. I also don't think posting a job opening for one department suggests that that department has been prioritized over another department. I think this is a false conflict. At any given time, over at LinkedIn, the organization has at least half a dozen job openings. The notion that they may be looking for a head of business analytics doesn't mean that they aren't looking for a rehabilitation specialist, and if they're looking for an associate director of marketing, it doesn't mean they are diverting resources from lefthanded relief pitching. I don't know why it's necessary to make controversy where there isn't any.

I don't get it at all. Is a Mets fan somehow a better Mets fan if he finds a more obscure reason than other fans to hate on the team? Even if that reason makes no sense?
