Robinson Canó could potentially — and I'm saying this with full understanding of the unlikeliness — receive playoff money from three different teams. Robinson Canó — despite playing for three playoff-bound National League teams — did not play for the eventual pennant winner, because he cursed those three teams. Robinson Canó somehow gave his best baseball in 2022 to the Mets. Robinson Canó's lone 2022 homerun, presumably the last of the 335 homers in his tainted career, was hit on Jackie Robinson Day.

When we look in the rear view mirror, some things might seem larger than they actually are - like Cano one day being able to say he played on those playoff bound teams. Later
