Nate Fisher made the Mark Canha Game in Philadelphia on August 21 the Nate Fisher Game before Mark Canha made it the Mark Canha Game.

It's hard to come up with a memory besides the one G-FaFiF just memoried, considering it was Fishie's only game.

I do remember his removal from the roster wasn't necessarily necessitated by the team's numbers situation, and there was a minor thing about it on Twitter. (OE: I may be conflating him with Sam Clay here.)

I also find it hard to believe Steve Van Zandt could maintain that stance for long.

How could you not remember the big Philly screw-up where it scheduled a Phillies/Mets game and a Bruce Sppringsteen concert for the same date and time? Nobody even noticed until rock fans and baseball fans started showing up at the same time. They ended up holding the concert and playing the game simultaneously.

I was at that game in Philadelphia. Proud to be a Phisher Phanatic.

Nate was a complicated figure. He always seemed emotionally ill-equipped to join up with his brother David and run the family mortuary, Fisher and Sons, but run it he did. Family and relationship dynamics were never easy for him (Brenda could be a handful) and having day after day after day of death as your 9-to-5 is no way to turn off stress. I always felt for poor Nate.

In a way, I hope the brain tumor that felled him provided some sort of relief from all the trauma he dealt with in life.

RIP Nate Fisher

His brother had a hard time too. He changed his name, moved to Miami, and became America's most beloved serial killer.
