Without specific statements from specific people (the quote from the article is more a general observation than anything concrete), it would be hard to prove a case. But I have a few observations.

1. Cohen might be in the doghouse with the league, but Martino probably gets a raise for all the hits the SNY website is getting right now.

2. Regardless of real intentions, it would be so much more fun to make Yankee fans nervous rather than reassure them.

3. I would collude with Chase Utley and Roger Clemens before I colluded with the Steinbrenners.

Re: Colllusion?

Possibly Steve and Hal discussing their interest on Judge

They could also be discussing restaurants

this. This all he does. he has a long track record of click-bait fake stories, even Noah Syndergaard called him out on it.

Two polar opposites there.

Swift: It's crazy how many people love her.

Martino: It's crazy how no one can stand him.

Re: Colllusion?

If what Martino wrote was accurate it could be collusion. Manfred will say it wasn't of course.

Manfred:
Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred spoke to reporters on Thursday with one topic being the investigation into whether or not the Yankees and Mets colluded to drive down the price of free agent outfielder Aaron Judge. Manfred acknowledged that the league is conducting an investigation.

“I'm absolutely confident the clubs behaved in a way that was consistent with the (CBA) agreement. This was based on a newspaper report. We will put ourselves in a position to demonstrate credibly to the MLBPA that this is not an issue. I'm sure that's going to be the outcome,” Manfred said.
