Mets are kind of conducting themselves like the Yankees this week, plugging holes with short-term solutions from guys on the back end of their careers. Down side is that it's all about next year, future be damned. The upside is that they are easy moves to pivot from.

Raley doesn't score any points in the likeability column, but he's a solid lefty who'll cost less money than worse relievers will get in the open market. Askew is too far away to get a real sense of what kind of pitcher he will be. But I do like his motion.
