Let's get the charity merry go round a-spinnin for 2022! I can drive this or ABNS can again if he's got the time.

I would like to please ensure that I get a 501(c)(3) charity for my own self, as my employer will match any $25 donation to a registered 501(c)(3) with a $100 donation to a local food bank.

===================================

Participants (I shall try to keep this updated):

Fman - The Children's Heart Foundation

ABNS - Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women

KC - Answer the Call

MFS62 - Yale New Haven Smilow Cancer Center

BG - Tisch MS Research Center of New York

TM - Stoughton Resettlement

JCL - National Alliance on Mental Illness in NYC

Hot Corner - the V Foundation

Lefty Specialist - City Harvest

Chad Ocho - May Dugan Center

Cal Sharpie - Camfed

Count me in.

My chosen charity, for the third consecutive year, is Tisch MS Research Center of New York Dedicated to finding the cause of and cure for multiple sclerosis.

I am happily in love with a woman with MS, so this charity is particularly meaningful to me.

I will double my donation if it's for an organization that gets four stars on Charity Navigator.

Giving this another bump - I would like to draw names in the next day or two so anyone who is inclined to participate please throw their name in the ring. Thanks !

I've also chosen my own charity - the Children's Heart Foundation, in recognition of my nephew Charlie, who continues to thrive at age 7 after three heart surgeries in his first 18 months.

Dear Ocho,

On December 30, 2022, you made a decision to change someone's life. Thank you for your gift of all the bucks.

Because of you, people like Tanisha are able to get the support they need to help themselves. Your gift means we can offer classes, support groups, and our Helpline to other people, just like Tanisha, throughout New York City.

NAMI-NYC creates a safe space for individuals and families living with mental illness. We couldn't do that without your kindness and generosity.

You make hope possible.

Dear Kevin,

Thank you so much for becoming a City Harvest Rescue Partner with your generous monthly gift of $10.00 on 1/2/23. Your support will make an immediate and powerful difference in the lives of our neighbors.

Right now, millions of New Yorkers are facing painful choices, like paying the rent or putting food on their tables, as family budgets are stretched to their limits and the costs of basic needs continues to climb.

To ensure that all of our fellow New Yorkers have a place to turn in the months ahead, City Harvest's food rescue trucks will be on the road, day and night, seven days a week, rescuing millions of pounds of perfectly good food that would otherwise go to waste and delivering it, free of charge, to hundreds of community food programs across the five boroughs. Our wheels must be in constant motion, and it requires consistent support from the people who make our work possible—people like you.

For 40 years, we have been neighbors helping neighbors—an effort we can only continue because you share our belief that no child, senior, or family should go hungry. That is why your decision to become a Rescue Partner means so much. I am so grateful for your commitment to our city and the neighbors we serve. Thank you.

Sincerely,
