Atlanta
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 07:17 PM |
Fuckshit - blink and it's a 1-0 Braves lead. A double and two ground outs get the first Braves run across the plate.
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 07:18 PM |
MisspelledAndrew's errant swing hits LoDuca's wrist.
TransMonk May 05 2006 07:22 PM |
I want to beat Davies bad...I hope we knock him around tonight.

Bravos take the lead back in the top of the second on a McCann double scoring BJ.
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 08:07 PM |
Trax strikes out MisspelledAndrew to end the top of the third. Still 2-1 bad guys.
GYC May 05 2006 08:09 PM |
Reyes = fast.
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 08:10 PM |
Jose is on first with a bunt single.

From SNY: Who was the last player to start the season with a hitting streak longer than 19 games?
TransMonk May 05 2006 08:33 PM |
SNY's answer: Steve Garvy. Who knew?
Gwreck May 05 2006 08:38 PM |
TBS Answer: Lonnie Smith. 5 WS, 4 Teams, 3 Rings.
TransMonk May 05 2006 08:39 PM |
After four, still tied at 2.
Gwreck May 05 2006 08:39 PM |
Chip Caray continues his LoDuca-lovefest.
MFS62 May 05 2006 08:44 PM |
Let us guess - the guy he wants to see up with runners in scoring position is..
Gwreck May 05 2006 08:53 PM |
No, he was talking from Atlanta's perspective. Chip (and broadcast partner) actively root for Atlanta throughout the broadcast.
MFS62 May 05 2006 09:02 PM |
That's what I meant. Any Atlanta fan would love to have Floyd coming up for the Mets with runners on base, the way he's not been hitting.
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 09:02 PM |
Crap - Brian Jordon scores on Brian McCann's 2-out single.
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 09:04 PM |
And McCann scores on MispronouncedDiaz's single :(
TransMonk May 05 2006 09:07 PM |

Nymr83 May 05 2006 09:07 PM |

ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 09:08 PM |
Larry makes a nice catch to rob Nady of a hit.
TransMonk May 05 2006 09:08 PM |
Grrrr... I hate you, Larry.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 09:08 PM |
We oughta have about 8 runs by now.
Nymr83 May 05 2006 09:12 PM |
Tom McCarthy just accused David Glass (what team does he own?) of being "notorious" for pocketing revenue-sharing after he cracked that he was out of patience but not out of money because he doesnt spend any.
TransMonk May 05 2006 09:12 PM |
At least.
Gwreck May 05 2006 09:25 PM |
David Glass is the Royals' owner.
TransMonk May 05 2006 09:26 PM |
8 runs might not be enough anyway as Bradford allows 2 runs in the 7th.
TransMonk May 05 2006 09:28 PM |
McCann flies out to Nady...6-2 Braves at the stretch.
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 09:28 PM |
X-Man makes a great catch to end the inning.
TransMonk May 05 2006 09:33 PM |
Alright, Reyes 4 for 4 with a single. LoDuca extends his hit streak to 8 with a GR Double.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 09:36 PM |
Rally.
TransMonk May 05 2006 09:38 PM |

Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 09:41 PM |
Rally.
Gwreck May 05 2006 09:43 PM |
C'mon Kaz. Anything but the double-play should tie it.
TransMonk May 05 2006 09:43 PM |
Floyd rolls an RBI single through the infield.
Nymr83 May 05 2006 09:43 PM |

Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 09:45 PM |
Rally!
Nymr83 May 05 2006 09:45 PM |
6-6 bases still loaded!
TransMonk May 05 2006 09:46 PM |
Yes, yes, YES!!!
Nymr83 May 05 2006 09:46 PM |
FUCK, anything but the DP you old man!
TransMonk May 05 2006 09:47 PM |
Julio kills the rally with a 6-4-3.
Gwreck May 05 2006 09:47 PM |
That DP hurts big.
TransMonk May 05 2006 09:48 PM |
I like our bullpen better than theirs, though.
Nymr83 May 05 2006 09:55 PM |
Reyes safe at third!!
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 09:55 PM |
Reyes leads off the 8th with a triple. It's his first career 5-hit game.
Nymr83 May 05 2006 09:56 PM |
fuck shit. good job LoDuca you putz
Nymr83 May 05 2006 09:58 PM |
that'll bounce that OBP everyone has been bitching about. (its gotta be .325 by now, a number i still don't like but can deal with) Beltran walked and they'll bring in Remlinger to face Delgado
Gwreck May 05 2006 10:00 PM |
Lefties hitting .368 off Remlinger.
Nymr83 May 05 2006 10:01 PM |
Delgado now 1-9 career off Remlinger after lining out to SS.
Nymr83 May 05 2006 10:05 PM |
Wright walks...
Nymr83 May 05 2006 10:08 PM |
damn foul balls.
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 10:09 PM |
Crap! The Mets strand three runners in the 8th :(
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 10:09 PM |
Bluh.
TransMonk May 05 2006 10:10 PM |
Crap! How can you not score after a leadoff Triple!?!?!
GYC May 05 2006 10:10 PM |
Mets don't score with a runner on 3rd and the world keeps spinning...
MFS62 May 05 2006 10:11 PM |
See what I meant earlier in this thread about the Braves wanting Floyd up in such a situation?
TransMonk May 05 2006 10:11 PM |
12 Team LOB tonight through 8.
TransMonk May 05 2006 10:13 PM |
Wright makes a great play snagging a hit from Renteria!
Gwreck May 05 2006 10:19 PM |
...but Aaron is awesome. Here we go, bottom 9th. Walk-off wins are fun. Rally time!
TransMonk May 05 2006 10:19 PM |
Where have all the good men gone
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 10:21 PM |
X-Man leads off the 9th with a walk.
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 10:22 PM |
A sac bunt moves Nady to 2nd.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 10:22 PM |
Mets 9th:
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 10:23 PM |
Unusual pitching change as James leaves with a 1-1 count.
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 10:28 PM |
Crap - Wooodward strikes out for the second out of the inning.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 10:30 PM |
So tense. So thrilling.
GYC May 05 2006 10:30 PM |
Free Ramon Castro!
GYC May 05 2006 10:31 PM |
Atlanta has 1 reliever and 1 hitter remaining. Don't blow this.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 10:31 PM |
Fucking mouthbreathing Moylan freak.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 10:31 PM |
Braves get out of the ninth.
Gwreck May 05 2006 10:32 PM |
I don't think there was a problem using Woody there. Castro is going to start tomorrow probably.
GYC May 05 2006 10:33 PM |
OE: Day-after-night is a good point against Castro over Lo Duca anyway.
Gwreck May 05 2006 10:37 PM |
Sandman uses 7 pitches, enabling him to go another inning, no problem.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 10:42 PM |
Didn't happen.
GYC May 05 2006 10:44 PM |
Forgot about Betemit, now the Braves have only Pratt off the bench and Reitsma out of the bullpen.
TransMonk May 05 2006 10:45 PM |
Peter Moylan baffles our 3-4-5 hitters in his second full ML inning of work.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 10:45 PM |
Wilson F. Betimit?
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 10:46 PM |
Crap - 7-6 Braves on the homer.
TransMonk May 05 2006 10:46 PM |
Dammit!!!
Edgy DC May 05 2006 10:47 PM |
Technically, that homer was hit before Ms. Edgy came into the room, because of the delay in the MLB.tv broadcast. So she didn't cause that.
GYC May 05 2006 10:49 PM |
Wagner sucks.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 10:52 PM |
Thanks for that.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 10:54 PM |
Lo Duca spending a lot of time on his knees.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 10:55 PM |
We shall rally in song:
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 10:58 PM |
CLIFF!!!!
Gwreck May 05 2006 10:58 PM |
CORNELIUS!
Nymr83 May 05 2006 10:58 PM |
You still want Floyd uo you fuckin Brave anouncers?
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 10:58 PM |
Cliff Goes -
TransMonk May 05 2006 10:58 PM |
Floyd plays hero!
Edgy DC May 05 2006 10:59 PM |
Rally, my friends. Fell to the red room
GYC May 05 2006 10:59 PM |
Floyd is forgiven... temporarily.
Nymr83 May 05 2006 11:00 PM |
Nady and Matsui both hit hard line outs, Reitsma has got nothing!
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:01 PM |
I'm sure he appreciates your inabsolute absolution.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 11:03 PM |

Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:06 PM |
Let's get it together Duaner, they've got nobody left in the pen but off-day starters.
Gwreck May 05 2006 11:07 PM |
Coke. Definetly Coke. C'mon Duaner!
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:08 PM |
How far off the bag was Reyes there?
GYC May 05 2006 11:10 PM |
Sanchez is great. I regret ever bashing that trade.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 11:10 PM |
Dedicated to Duaner:
TransMonk May 05 2006 11:10 PM |
He was in the area. He's up for 6 out of 6 in the 12th.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:10 PM |
Who has had longer scoreless stretches than Duaner out of the Mets bullpen?
Nymr83 May 05 2006 11:11 PM |
Braden Looper!
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:11 PM |
Keith being nutty, and now the wind is blowing in.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:12 PM |
Reyes misses the six-hit game by a foot or two.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 11:15 PM |
Get started.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:16 PM |
Beltran stops at second on a drive to the corner.
Nymr83 May 05 2006 11:16 PM |
BRING THEM HOME, WRIGHT!
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:16 PM |
Wright time.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:17 PM |
Roger McDowell out to mind for a walk down Memory Lane.
Nymr83 May 05 2006 11:20 PM |
ball 4.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 11:20 PM |
What a game.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 11:22 PM |
fluh.
Nymr83 May 05 2006 11:22 PM |
goddamnit.
GYC May 05 2006 11:22 PM |
damn
Gwreck May 05 2006 11:23 PM |
Remember we still have a HUGE bullpen advantage.
GYC May 05 2006 11:25 PM |
Pratt hits, meaning Jorge Sosa will pitch the bottom of the 13th.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:25 PM |
Have to exploit it.
Rockin' Doc May 05 2006 11:25 PM |
What a great game. I've been trying to go to bed for almost an hour, but there is no way I can until this one is decided.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 11:27 PM |
Way to tag him in the face, Carlos.
Gwreck May 05 2006 11:27 PM |
Duaner has only thrown 20 pitches through 2 innings. Maybe he hits and goes out for a 3rd inning?
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:28 PM |
Gwreck May 05 2006 11:28 PM |
That maybe (?) gives us an advantage Sunday? Sosa has some pretty bad numbers.
GYC May 05 2006 11:29 PM |
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:29 PM |
OK, Jorge, let's add to your 6.65 ERA.
TransMonk May 05 2006 11:30 PM |
Let's try it one more time with song:
Gwreck May 05 2006 11:30 PM |
Don't wanna wait 'til tomorrow
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 11:31 PM |
Let's rally, Argybargy style:
Rockin' Doc May 05 2006 11:33 PM |
Delgado has made a few nice plays at first tonight, especially for a guy that isn't supposed to be very good defensively.
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 11:33 PM |
Nady walks. Again.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:34 PM |
Three dueling rally songs.
Rockin' Doc May 05 2006 11:35 PM |
Nady on second base after a walk and Kaz Matsui bunt.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 11:36 PM |
What's Lido's deal? Is he a gambler?
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:36 PM |
Bloody wind...
GYC May 05 2006 11:36 PM |
Screw the wind at Shea.
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 11:36 PM |
The wind keeps Castro's fly in the park.
Rockin' Doc May 05 2006 11:36 PM |
Damn! I thought Castro had that one out to left. Now it's up to Reyes.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 11:38 PM |
Is it Julio time?
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 11:38 PM |
And we go to the 14th.
Gwreck May 05 2006 11:38 PM |
Ramon thought so too. Raised arms coming out of the batter's box. Dammit.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:38 PM |
Poo.
Gwreck May 05 2006 11:38 PM |
Yes, it is.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:39 PM |
Chipper vs. Julio. Big test for Jorge in his first game situation since game two.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:41 PM |
Julio over-throwing, it looks like.
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 11:41 PM |
He fails the test. Larry singles.
Frayed Knot May 05 2006 11:44 PM |
Why must they torture me so?
GYC May 05 2006 11:44 PM |
Comes back to K Andrew.
GYC May 05 2006 11:47 PM |
Julio gets Francoeur to pop up.
GYC May 05 2006 11:47 PM |
Julio gets out of it!
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:47 PM |
What was the deal with Jones taking that 2-1 fastball? Did he think time was out?
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 11:48 PM |
14th inning stretch.
Nymr83 May 05 2006 11:48 PM |
this is a looooooooooong game
Gwreck May 05 2006 11:48 PM |
28Ks, 15.1 Innings for Julio.
Gwreck May 05 2006 11:49 PM |
IGT is surprisingly short for such a long game. Only 9 pages for 14 innings. Strange.
TransMonk May 05 2006 11:49 PM |
Julio impressive, most impressive.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 11:49 PM |
Whaddaya say we get Julio a win.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:49 PM |
Julio on 15 pitches after a dozen or so last night. Can he go another?
ScarletKnight41 May 05 2006 11:50 PM |
Keith and Gary are wearing rally caps in the booth.
Nymr83 May 05 2006 11:50 PM |
Keith Hernandez with a rally cap on???
Frayed Knot May 05 2006 11:50 PM |
DoLuca - Beltran - Deglado
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:51 PM |
"Hey, Julio, mail for you from some guy in DC..."
GYC May 05 2006 11:51 PM |
I definitely need to get a rally cap.
Gwreck May 05 2006 11:54 PM |
You're almost as bad as Dickshot with Duaner...
Gwreck May 05 2006 11:55 PM |
Delgado v. Sosa, career: .519, 7 HR.
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:55 PM |
Let love rule.
Frayed Knot May 05 2006 11:57 PM |
It's midnight in Manhattan,
Gwreck May 05 2006 11:57 PM |
TBS speculating about injuries to catchers. Who catches for the Mets? Nady?
Gwreck May 05 2006 11:57 PM |
Superior usage FK.
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 11:58 PM |
Wow, Beltran!
Frayed Knot May 05 2006 11:58 PM |
Delgado came up as a catcher - put Glavine at 1st
Edgy DC May 05 2006 11:58 PM |
Love...
Johnny Dickshot May 05 2006 11:59 PM |
Ta-dah!

MIDNIGHT IS THE WRIGHT TIME!!!!
smg58 May 06 2006 12:02 AM |
Classic game. Good hustle by Beltran to set up the winning run. Nice job by most of the pen.
Edgy DC May 06 2006 12:02 AM |
I love you all.
metirish May 06 2006 12:03 AM |
What a game, my girlfriend was shouting for the Braves just to take the piss outta me......now is time for her to pay....
Johnny Dickshot May 06 2006 12:05 AM |
Cue porno soundtrack...
Gwreck May 06 2006 12:06 AM |
Interesting, didn't think about that. I think Nady would go to first though. Maine might be able to play OF.
Edgy DC May 06 2006 12:10 AM |
If it was 2005, we could've had Roberto Hernandez as the emergency catcher.
Nymr83 May 06 2006 12:11 AM |
LMAO!
Edgy DC May 06 2006 12:13 AM |
Maine is Gimpy.
Nymr83 May 06 2006 12:13 AM |
who IS the emergency catcher?
old original jb May 06 2006 12:16 AM |
What a game.
Frayed Knot May 06 2006 12:19 AM |
"By the way, what's a Betamit?"
Edgy DC May 06 2006 12:21 AM |
Chris Woodward, when available.
I like wars of attrition. I never heard that NFL rule. I wouldn't like that. Part of the great fun of sports is seeing people stretched beyond the challenge of their comfort zone.
Centerfield May 06 2006 12:38 AM |
That was a good game.
Gwreck May 06 2006 12:39 AM |
After Woodward, I bet Wright would do the best job at catcher, I just don't ever want him playing there. Zambrano had probably gone home by the time he would've been needed, so Glavine in the OF would've been the solution. Definetly no Pedro in the field.
Gwreck May 06 2006 12:42 AM |
Should also be noted that with the win, Mets now have best record in baseball again (tied with ChiSox).
Frayed Knot May 06 2006 12:48 AM |
Yeah it def wouldn't be Zamby as he's pitching the next day.
