A Lima Time Question

Where did that expression come from?
Did Jose use it himself?
Did some famous sportswriter use it an a nationally published article?
Was it coined by someone here in the CPF?
And, why is it always capitalized?

I've always read Lima Bean to myself but never said it out loud.

I don't know if he coined it but he used to say it when he was on the Astros.

Jim Rome often uses it on his radio show when talking about Lima, a frequent guest on his show, often in this way: Lima Time! BEEEEE-LIVE IT!

with the believe it said in a Lima impersonation voice

Given that, my guess is that it was self glossed by Lima and Houston fans

Them's some mighty tasty Lima Beans under Mrs. Lima's sweater.

Aw, Jim Rome said it.

Now I feel dirty.

Me, too.
Now I won't be using it.
But thanks all for your feedback.

It was originally coined by Lima. Rome just ran with it.

It's safe to use.

If Rome used it, it has been tainted.
I'll have to think about it.

Rome uses toilets on occasion also. Follow your star.

Are you sure? It seems like a lot of crap comes out of his mouth.
