It haps. We'll fix.

Or not. On the next fix, Sterling wil likely disappear.

Your new sig line:

495) Randy Sterling, SP, RP, 1974

And Willie Montanez is not Bruce Boisclair.

No biggie. Wasn't mad. Thought it was funny.

I was Don Florence previously. The first user comment claims he is the winningest Mets pitcher ever w/o a loss. (I couldn't verify it, though, with the winning percentage stats on UMDB.) Good trivia, if true.

Chris Donnels points to Ken MacKenzie.

In two years of work, Mr. MacKenzie gave up 21 home runs in 138 innings while Mr. Donnels never hit a one.

C-Donn was selected in the '93 expansion draft by the newly minted Marlins. K-Mack was purchased in 1961 from the future divisional rival Milwaukee Braves.

BBR lists both men as 6-0, 185. KM, a Canadian, attended Yale; CD, from L.A., went to Loyola Marymount.

After leaving the Mets, both had their best career years with the Astros.

* Ken Mackenzie played with Jimmy Wynn for the 1965 Houston Astros
* Jimmy Wynn played with Willie Randolph for the 1977 New York Yankees
* Willie Randolph played with Chris Donnels for the 1992 New York Mets

* Ken Mackenzie played with Ed Kranepool for the 1963 New York Mets
* Ed Kranepool played with Jesse Orosco for the 1979 New York Mets
* Jesse Orosco played with Chris Donnels for the 2001 Los Angeles Dodgers

* Ken Mackenzie played with Gaylord Perry for the 1964 San Francisco Giants
* Gaylord Perry played with Rick Cerone for the 1975 Cleveland Indians
* Rick Cerone played with Chris Donnels for the 1991 New York Mets

* Ken Mackenzie played with Jose Cardenal for the 1964 San Francisco Giants
* Jose Cardenal played with Hubie Brooks for the 1980 New York Mets
* Hubie Brooks played with Chris Donnels for the 1991 New York Mets

This ought not be wasted here. I see major thread potential in this thread -- just a matter of turning into a quiz/game.

I was just really out of something to do when I noticed my player link was mispointed again.

Re-work the idea while leaving the player names out, and make it into a Met double-play guessing game. First guy who gets it right starts a new double play, etc etc etc.

The Big O's post made me think of Aaron Ledesma.
I don't know why.
