This is really starting to be fun. I enjoy seeing Shea suddenly become a house of horrors for the Braves. It's about time the tables were turned.

I totally screwed up the POTG Poll for last night's game, so I'll keep this one brief so there is less chance for me to mess up. As long as the Mets keep winning, I'm happy.

The Mets thin rotation got a little thinnier when Victor Zambrano had to leave today's game with pain in his elbow. Unfortunately, with both Bannister and his replacement John Maine on the DL and now Zambrano going down, it may be Lima time. Heaven help us. At least the wifey thread will look better, even if the rotation doesn't.

Darren Oliver did a great job in relief of Zambrano following his injury. The offense continued it's assault on Braves pitching.

Tonight the POTG shall receive a half pint of Oliver Hot Monkey Love Ale. Mainly because I love the name and at 9.0% A.B.V., one should be enough. The Mets can't afford to lose anymore players.

I was the guy who picked Matsui. I'm assuming I'll be the only one, but he put us over the top when we desperately needed it.

Plus, the little guy deserves a little more love.

Oh wow. I wish I had read that before I voted

I voted for Oliver. He ate up four innings on a day that the bullpen desperately needed rest, and he kept the game within reach. To get four innings out of a guy under those circumstances is huge.

I'll write in Zambrano. His selfless act of faking a season-ending injury accomplishes so much for the Mets' chances this year.
