Re: MLB Trivia

I was thinking Roger Clemens, but again, the nine home runs seems unlikely.

Re: MLB Trivia

Could be Zach Greinke, but I'm not sure if he pitched in both leagues.

Re: MLB Trivia

I doubt that Nolan Ryan hit nine homers either.

Bob Gibson probably did, but he never pitched in the American League.

Tom Seaver pitched in both leagues, but he never led the AL in ERA.

I think you are on the right track, he did pitch with Arizona and IIRC the Dodgers

Also Silver Sluggers came into existence in the early 1980s.

Re: MLB Trivia

Greinke is definitely my first guess. Kevin Brown after that.

Re: MLB Trivia

They haven't given the answer but Greinke seems to be the most common answer, some guessed C.C. Verlander , Mike Hampton, Bumgarner

Weird since until Justin throws his first Metly regular season pitch, Hampton is the only one of those guessed that has pitched in both leagues.

Re: MLB Trivia

Thinking it's someone who isn't thought of as a great pitcher.

Livan Hernandez had a fine career and could hit. Not sure he lasted 17 seasons, but he's my guess.

I'll also throw a Gaylord Perry guess into the fray.

Re: MLB Trivia

I've been checking and they haven't given the answer , but Greinke won the silver slugger in 2013( Dodgers) and 2019 ( D-Backs )
