2021 Met and 2022 rehabilitator Jordan Yamamoto has signed a 2023 minor league deal with the Dodgers. With the DFA of reliever Taylor Saucedo, this leaves the Mets roster's Hawai'i Chair vacant for the time being. It also closes the book on the dramatic, intra-division Federico Polanco/Yamamoto deal with the Marlins. Wore Zach Wheeler's number like he tore it right off the guy's back, and set a new team record for ratio of beefs with Mets fans on Twitter to innings pitched. He pitched for the Mets in 2021 and at A+, AA and AAA in 2022. He was up and down in the minors throughout the year working on his rehab at different levels. Later

Started and lost a game for one of the less impressive first-place teams in franchise history, whose lineup reads less than two years later as Francisco Lindor and a stack of tomato cans.
