Don't know why they aren't, but I'm ok with this, maybe every 3 to 5 years would be cool

Batmags I don't get the thread title, but I'm a bit disappointed.

The unexpected star of last year's festivities was Baldwin, Long Island's Steve Dillon, who appeared despite having pitched only 4 2/3 innings in a career that ended 58 years prior. He took the mound at 79 years of age, faced two batters, and threw strikes.

Maybe he'll have the number font on the back of the Seaver statue fixed for opening day.

Let's enjoy some warmups from the 1963 Old-Timers Day, when the pre-Cohen Mets made sure it would be an annual event.

Fortunately we'll get to see Dillon at Citi Field this season as part of Klassik Klosers Saturday, announced on April 1.
