West Coast Swing - Take One

The first west coast trip of the year, in this case 10 games in 10 days with a day off before and after.

This one features three with the (currently) 3 - 11 A's, three vs the 7-6 Dodgers, then four vs the 5-7 Giants

It's not too bad from a TV standpoint for those of us back east as half the games wind up as day time or 7 PM starts

and never more than two late ones in a row.

Fri 14th - 9:40

Sat 15th - 4:10

Sun 16th - 4:10

-------------------

Mon 17th - 10:10

Tue 18th - 10:10

Wed 19th - 3:10 (a rare day game in LA)

-------------------

Thu 20th - 9:45

Fri 21st - 10:10

Sat 22nd - 4:05

Sun 23rd - 7:10 (ESPN)

I was worried that the new balanced schedule would mean more late games but looking ahead to the rest of 2023 it's actually not too bad. After this road trip the only games starting after 8:15 PM EDT are a two May games in Denver and a four game set in early July against the D-Baggs and Padres.

On balance it will since we'll be playing more west coast teams every year. We just got a bit lucky here as the Bay area teams tend to play more day games and we'll see Seattle and Anaheim, who don't, at home.

That'll all reverse next year.
