There is every opportunity for Verlander to be a stopper

Greene is their ace, throws mega heat, almost had a no-hitter this year.

If I said "they are" then someone would have pointed out the 15 times they scored first but yeah, every night and from the 1st inning.

Re: IGT 05/10 - Metropolitans at Redlegs

Much better 2nd & 3rd innings offensively, maybe our best in a while, even with just the one run scored.

Just a shame that two hot liners w/runners on hit leather and were turned into three outs.

What's that called again when we have more runs than the other team at some point during the game?

A bead? A deed? Some mead? I forget, it's been a while.

I'm checking the rule book.

I'm not sure we're allowed to do that.

If they overturn this call on the slide and hand raise by Luis after the non-call last night I think Buck may spontaneously combust.

And, btw, why is this one reviewable while last night's wasn't????

I'm more perturbed why they were able to challenge two calls from one sequence.

I think the ruling should be, "After further review, the call at second stands. The Reds lose their challenge and so the call at first will not be reviewed."

Be nice to some RS that I need two hands to tally and not have most of them coming via solo HRs, but I'll take it especially since we saw better ABs tonight (against better pitching too) and could have scored more with just a little bit of better luck.

Thirteenth three-handed two-hit (nine-inning) victory gang-pitched by the Mets, but the first in which each pitcher was 37 or older.
