I dunno. My dad was in charge of security for The Regency Hotel at the time. I don't think the wedding was at the hotel, but perhaps in the northern suburbs. Rozelle may have met him at the hotel, liked him, and asked him to take charge of security at the wedding offsite. I think it's something like that, but he also got enjoy the wedding as a guest and bring my mom. McNeil sat at their table, and I think Dad said he was the only player on the guest list, or perhaps the only active player. Rozelle apparently really thought highly of him. This matchup seem like a bigger mismatch than Namath/Wilson.
