TWiB Notes - June 12 - 18

Braves give up one in the 8th, three in the 9th, then one in the 10th to fall to Detroit 6-5 after having led the whole game.

So somebody can beat that team ... even if it's not us.

A's score once in the bottom of the 7th and then again in the eighth to edge the Rays 2-1 and win their seventh in a row. The A's are now 19-50 (.275) and will go for the three game sweep of the Rays, tomorrow.

13 - 4 BoSox over the Yanx, top 6 at Fenway

Landing on that score between innings was a fun surprise.

That's one more pitching appearance than his second cousin, twice removed.

Braves and Marlins both win, Met are toast.

Yanx lose a Sunday DH and get swept by Sawx ... so there's that.

The Braves had a nice Father's Day planned. Infielder Charlie Culberson is a local boy (Rome, GA) and they invited his dad to throw out the first pitch. Who wouldn't get the feels from that?

Culberson, Sr. didn't. He arrived in the park only to find out that his son Charlie had been DFA'd. Oops.

Excuse me, Mr. Michael Harris I? Would you like to throw the first pitch instead?
