Slow Shakeup

It was reported Sunday afternoon by Bob Nightengale of USA Today that the New York Mets are expected to hire former Milwaukee Brewers general manager David Stearns this offseason. His contract expires after the season, and he is expected to be hired in Flushing to a high-ranking front office job.

Step 1, but no impact on this season.

Re: Slow Shakeup

Yeah, this isn't evidence of a 'shakeup', it's a guy rumored to be a NYM target for years now but will be free of contractual obligations this winter. If they had the same record as last year this same story would likely still surface.
