These mirror-image poses (who does a three-point stance on his left arm?) are appropriate, as this lockup should be about as evenly matched up as any contest, with these two guys representing the two middle seeds in our draw. One shone brighter, but one longer, with both having their legacy diminished by outside forces — the first by injuries, and the second by having to share his position with Mickey Shuler for several seasons.

Three-time Pro-Bowler (1968–1970). First-

team All-Pro (1969). Second-team All-Pro

(1970). Super Bowl II champion, making

three solo tackles in the game.
Pro-Bowler (1973). Made game-winning TD

grab in big 1981 victory over Miami. Part of

AFC championship-game team of 1982. Fourth

all-time in TD catches by a Jet, eighth in

receiving yards, ninth in receptions.
A rare Jet to jump to the World Football

League, earning all-WFL honors as the league

shuttered after only 13 games, which I guess

makes him part of the league's all-time team.
