Three-time Pro-Bowler (2009–2011). PFWA

NFL All-Rookie Team (2006). One of four Jets

offensive tackles to be named an NFL or AFL

all-star. Never missed a game or start from

2006-2015, appearing in 160 regular season

games plus seven playoff matchups. New

York Jets Ring of Honor (2022).
Tenth all-time in sacks by a Jet. Member of

the New York Sack Exchange. Only Jet with

two career safeties. NFL Man of the Year

Award (later renamed in honor of Walter

Payton), honoring a player's commitment

to philanthropy and community impact, as

well as his excellence on the field (1984).

New York Jets Ring of Honor (2013).
Apparently named after Father Ralph de

Bricassart, the problematically dreamy priest

character in The Thorn Birds. This is a

fact made even more awkward when he

earned his degree in religious studies.
Involved in one of the most famous penalties

(mis-attributed to Mark Gastineau at the

time) in NFL history when he gave Jim Kelly

"the business down there."
