When he was drafted over Dan Marino

despite playing for a Division II School, a

Warner Wolf report from the draft featured

a quote from a Jet fan in the gallery, stating,

as I recall, "Ken O'Brien?! He SUCKS! I never

even HEARD of him!"
Revealed himself in 2003 to be a survivor of

childhood sexual abuse, perpetrated by a

stepfather, who ended up going to prison

for the crimes after the abuse was revealed.

"If it gets one kid to come out and say,

'Look, this is happening to me,'" he said at

the time, "I think it's right."
