Syracuse Mets 6:35 PM start officially delayed. We stayed home as my son had to work anyway. Hoping tomorrow's forecast improves. Hoping the big boy Mets also get their game in.

A rain delay hurts the Mets as they have to fly to AZ. There's an off-day tomorrow b/you want to get there as quickly as possible to get acclimated to the time change and to rest. If it's rained out the SF is on the east coast again in August and both teams have a mutual off-day on August 24.

They gain on the four teams immediately ahead of them in league-wide standings, catching San Diego, pulling within a game of Chicago, and squeezing within a game and a half of Pittsburgh. Plus we get to enjoy a third undefeated July day tomorrow. If you want to root for someone, I recommend rooting for Milwaukee over the Cubs.
