I hope I am not tempting fate asking Carrasco to close out this series with a terrific outing but why the heck not Dbacks starter Ryne Nelson has gone 14 innings and allowed two earned in his last two starts YGB

Probably a good idea to get Álvarez out of there under any circumstances, but they probably are loathe to switch catchers on Carrasco.

btw, the +9 in runs scored for the game gives the Mets a positive (+1) run differential for the season.

Yes, Reyes was playing shortstop. His three homers accounted for the team's only four runs of an otherwise lousy game.
