So it's a two game series with these fuckers in their place as we attempt to both salvage our season and hope to help cripple theirs. Verlander vs Domingo German German's last five starts were: - 10 runs allowed in 3.1 innings - Perfect game - 3 runs in 4.1 - 2 runs in 6 - 5 runs in 6 ... so make of that what you will Of course our entire lineup is hitting under .100 for the month of July so it probably doesn't matter.

As far as I'm concerned, if Nimmo works a 3-2 count, he's won the at-bat already. The double is tasty, delicious, mushroom gravy.

Been a lucky evening so far. Both rallies include mile-high popups that somehow dropped in, and the three-run homer had a ton of topspin and would have been a double in 95% of ballparks through history.* But, they've hit a lot of popups. I guess if you hit enough, one or two are gonna drop. *An estimate. Not a real statistic.

Fun crowd. A lot of mixed families, split between Mets gear and Yankees stuff, as well as groups of friends with mixed colors. Even saw some dudes wearing both at once.
